Laura Harring ExerciseThe petite Laura Harring, known for her roles in Mulholland Drive and Love in the Time of Cholera is a Mexican American and it appears her cultural music roots are what keeps her in shape.  She does salsa dancing for a workout and swears that it doesn’t feel like exercise.  She said,

“You feel very sexy, your heart rate goes high, and you don’t even realize it because you’re dancing and you’re concentrating so much,” explains the actress. “And before you know it, two hours have passed, you probably burned the chocolate cake and pizza you ate and it makes you feel full of life.”

Dancing can be a good calorie burning exercise.  A 130-pound woman can burn approximately 350 calories and hour.  Laura’s latest movies, Bitter Grapes, about a Mexican American family living on both sides of the border, and Kluge, which takes place in Argentina, are out in 2009.
