Before Miranda Kerr became the international supermodel we know and love she studied nutrition. To this day, she pays close attention to her diet and lifestyle to keep her healthy and in top form. Modelinia asked the supermodel for a few tips on how she stays gorgeous, and had Skinny and the City founder Tanya Zuckerbrot discuss the benefits of her lifestyle.
First she tells us about the liquids she regularly drinks such as water and raw juices. She said,
“It’s really important to drink a lot of water. I drink from 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day,” she continues, “I think it’s important to drink raw juices. Raw juicing is really great to get all your vitamins and minerals.”
Do keep in mind that when you juice fruits and veggies that you lose a lot of the fiber so still be sure eat plenty of whole fruits and veggies. Miranda also mentioned that she follows a blood-type diet.
“Eat for your blood type. I eat for my blood type. I’m an A.”
Actually the verdict is out on the blood-type diet because there isn’t a whole lot of scientific evidence out there quite yet and many critical foods are eliminated from the different blood-type diets. Lastly, Miranda said she tries to eat only organic produce.
“Try to eat as much raw fresh organic produce as possible. I live not far from Union Square, so I’m always there at the market. They have a lot of organic products and I also like to go to Whole Foods. I go to this lady who sells really great goat’s milk yogurt.”
